Be an Activist at the State Level

Rachel Coyle talks about the power we all have at the state level of politics
1

Rachel Coyle is the co-founder of How Things Work at the Ohio Statehouse. Through this group she helps Ohioans understand how their state government works and how they can impact Ohio's laws and policies. Like many of us, Rachel didn’t know much about what was going on at the state level for most of her life. Then she got a job at the Ohio Statehouse. That’s when she realized just how much power citizens actually have in stopping bad bills from being passed at the state level.

If you feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start - just start paying attention to what’s going on in your own state. You can have a huge impact at the local level. You’re not too small to make a difference.
