Suburban areas nationwide are growing and becoming more diverse. But while the media loves to discuss the impact of suburban women on elections, they consistently associate suburban with “white.” The perspectives of women of color in these communities are too often ignored and their experiences left out of the national narrative.
Zerell Johnson-Welch recently spoke on a panel for an event called Black Moms: "White Suburbs"about what it’s like to be in a predominately white community.
