It's Time to Eliminate Sub-Minimum Wages

How a two-tiered wage system is a direct legacy of slavery
1

Mariah Ross from One Fair Wage reminds us that the injustice of unfair wages has a long history, is a carryover from slavery, and impacts women of color the most.

One Fair Wage is moving legislation and ballot measures in 25 states to raise wages and end sub-minimum wages for millions of workers – and mobilize millions to vote in the process – by the United States’ 250th Anniversary (2026).
