Libraries Should Be a Welcoming Place for Everyone

Kelsey and her community won't allow their library to be used as a political wedge at the expense of the LGBTQ+ community

Kelsey Lawrence, a regional organizer at Red Wine & Blue, started a Facebook group called Save Samuels for community members in Warren County, Virginia who want to to keep Samuels Public Library as a place for everyone without censorship or discrimination. The group of over 500 citizens, taxpayers, friends, neighbors, parents, and guardians is working hard to preserve the library as a welcoming and inclusive space and keep the current availability of books, information, and services managed by its highly professional staff.

They are driven by their love of Samuels Public Library because they believe that LOVE WINS.
