RFK Jr.'s vice presidential pick calls IVF ‘one of the biggest lies being told about women’s health’
The SWP Take: We are doing everything we can to protect access to IVF for everyone, meanwhile a VP candidate wants to invest in researching exposure to sunshine to increase female fertility. Can anyone make sense of this? The bottom line is that there is only one presidential campaign that is working hard to protect our reproductive healthcare options including access to IVF and birth control — and it’s President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Abortion Measures could be on the ballot in almost a dozen states in 2024
The SWP Take: When reproductive rights are on the ballot, the majority of people choose to vote to protect those rights in red and blue states. Women across the country continue to be motivated by the loss of their reproductive freedom, and we carry that motivation straight to the ballot box. We are happy to see more states get the chance to protect their reproductive freedom!
Supreme Court skeptical of efforts to restrict access to abortion pill
The SWP Take: We have long believed that the effort to restrict or overturn the approval of mifepristone by doctors who have not been directly impacted by mifepristone, should not have had standing. The doctors claim that if a women who had complications from using mifepristone ended up in their emergency room, they would be required to provide abortion care, which would go against their personal beliefs. The majority of Supreme Court justices, questioned why it wasn’t enough for the doctors to invoke their right to not perform abortions or prescribe mifepristone. We don’t have a ruling yet, but we are hopeful that the Supreme Court let’s access to mifepristone stay. Plus, if the FDA approval of mifepristone is restricted, it would open up a lot of questions about the FDA’s ability to approve medication.
My God, the grammar. Or lack thereof. Please, if we want to be taken seriously, we can't look like we failed 8th grade English.
