Grant program for Black women business owners is discriminatory, appeals court rules
The SWP take: We are incredibly disappointed by this decision. Venture capital firms like Fearless Fund are important because Black women entrepreneurs receive less than 1% of venture capital funding. Fearless Fund is committed to making sure that women of color get the support and the funding they need to grow their businesses so they can achieve the American dream and close the wealth gap. Like Fearless Fund, we too believe that everyone has the right to achieve the American dream.
Louisiana becomes seventh state to add PragerU to social studies resources
The SWP take: PragerU, a conservative media company, has the goal of spreading rightwing ideology to our kids. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, their content works as a dog whistle for the extreme right. They’re well organized, well connected, and succeeding on a large scale thanks to their donors.
