The SWP take: During her speech she said, “While you teach students about our nation’s past, these extremists attack the freedom to learn and acknowledge our nation’s true and full history.” Thank you Madam Vice President for standing up for our kids and pushing back against extremists trying to use “parents rights” to dictate what our kids can learn.

In a reversal, Georgia now says districts can use state funding to teach AP Black studies classes

The SWP take: After strong public pushback and pressure from lawmakers, the Georgia State Board of Education stepped in to reverse State Superintendent Richard Woods's block on funding for AP African American Studies.
