The Worst Episode of The Bachelor Ever

None of Trump's cabinet picks deserve a rose

In the United States, the President has a team of advisors called the Cabinet - a group of experts who must be confirmed by the Senate. It includes positions like Chief of Staff, Attorney General, Secretary of Defense, and Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Trump has been rolling out his picks for his Cabinet over the past few weeks, and as Amanda said on this week’s pod, it is truly like the worst episode of the Bachelor ever… just one inexperienced MAGA loyalist after another. Some remind us of supervillains. Some are actual sexual predators. In fact, a lot of them are sexual predators. We don’t want to give a rose to any of these people!

Since we recorded the podcast earlier this week, Matt Gaetz has withdrawn from consideration — sometimes the trash takes itself out! — but the new pick for Attorney General, Pam Bondi, is also pretty concerning.

Still, it shows that Senate Republicans aren’t willing to accept just anyone in these positions. And that means there’s hope that they might reject some of the other, more egregious Cabinet picks too. So it’s important to reach out to your Senators and let them know you want sane, responsible, experienced adults in these incredibly important positions. The official confirmation hearings begin in January.

The next four years are going to be a bumpy ride, but we’re not going to stop using our voices.
