Why Gerrymandering Matters
Angela lives in an gerrymandered Ohio suburb and shares perspectives on when districts are drawn unfairly
Angela has lived in two gerrymandered districts in Ohio in the last couple of years and she feels like her vote doesn’t really matter. By silencing so many of us, by taking away our voice and right to free and fair elections, gerrymandering increases voter apathy and reduces the power of the democratic process.
If you or someone you know lives in Ohio and you want to end gerrymandering, learn more about The Citizens Not Politicians Amendment. It will end gerrymandering by empowering citizens, not politicians, to draw fair districts using an open and transparent process.
We need help in NC too! I live in district 11 where such monstrosities such as Mark Meadows, Madison Cawthorne have been “elected” via extreme gerrymandering. We haven’t had any representation in DC for decades now.
Asheville, NC used to send Dems to DC. Now, thanks to gerrymandering, maniacs and criminals are “representing” this district. It’s beyond frustrating.
What can we do?
