We all have imposter syndrome...

But we shouldn't!

This week on the pod, Jasmine sits down with Jotaka Eaddy, founder of Win With Black Women and “the Olivia Pope of Silicon Valley”. Jotaka has worked in both organizing and tech spaces, and is a proven leader no matter where she is. Despite all of her success, Jotaka shared that she still has struggled with imposter syndrome.

If you haven’t heard the phrase, imposter syndrome is when you feel inadequate or anxious about your own skills or efforts. Many people, especially women, experience this feeling even when succeeding in high profile positions of leadership. It’s a common phenomenon - but it shouldn’t be. Chances are when you’re feeling this way, everyone else around you is actually just noticing how much you’re killing it!

Jotaka and Jasmine also talk about the importance of Black female leadership in all aspects of business, society, politics and culture. Check out the podcast to hear the full interview. And as always, please share this Substack if you’ve enjoyed this video.
